THREE INJECTABLE WELLNESS PRODUCTS RECALLED NATIONWIDE AFTER NINE ADVERSE REACTION REPORTS AND CONCERNS ABOUT ELEVATED ENDOTOXIN LEVELS.
A nationwide recall has been issued for three injectable wellness products after concerns that they may contain elevated levels of endotoxins, substances that can trigger serious and potentially life-threatening reactions when introduced into the body. The products were compounded and distributed by Centric Compounding LLC, and the recall involves glutathione injections, Myer’s Cocktail injections and Tri-Immune Boost injections. The warning is particularly serious because these products are administered by injection, meaning contamination can enter the bloodstream directly. According to the FDA warning, nine adverse reaction reports have been associated with the recalled products, including reports of fever, chills, chest pain, nausea, vomiting, headache and malaise.
THE WELLNESS INJECTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED: The recalled products include Glutathione 200 mg/mL supplied in 30 mL multidose vials, Myer’s Cocktail supplied in 30 mL multidose vials and Tri-Immune Boost supplied in 30 mL multidose vials. The affected glutathione lots are 062326:B, with a beyond-use date of August 7, 2026, 070826:A, with a beyond-use date of August 22, 2026, and 072726:D, with a beyond-use date of September 25, 2026. The affected Myer’s Cocktail lots are 070226:D, with a beyond-use date of August 16, 2026, and 072126:A, with a beyond-use date of September 4, 2026. The affected Tri-Immune Boost lot is 071626:B, with a beyond-use date of August 30, 2026. Anyone who has these products should check the vial label carefully and compare the product name, lot number and beyond-use date before using them.
WHAT CAUSED THE RECALL? The FDA warning concerns elevated endotoxin levels in a glutathione ingredient used in the compounded products. Endotoxins are components of the outer membranes of certain bacteria. They can remain present even when bacteria themselves are no longer alive, and they may trigger a powerful inflammatory response when injected into the body. Depending on the amount present and the individual’s response, exposure may lead to fever, chills, low blood pressure, severe inflammatory reactions, shock and other serious complications. The FDA has warned that serious reactions may include anaphylactic shock and death, which means this should not be dismissed as an ordinary product-quality issue.
NINE ADVERSE REACTION REPORTS RAISE CONCERNS: The recall follows nine reports of adverse reactions in people who received the affected products. Reported symptoms included fever, chills, chest pain, nausea, vomiting, headache and general malaise. These reports do not automatically prove that every symptom was caused by the recalled injections, but they were serious enough to trigger regulatory concern and a nationwide recall. The number of reports also raises questions about whether every reaction has been recognised, reported or connected to the products. Patients may not always realise that symptoms developing after an injection could be linked to contamination, particularly when the product has been promoted as part of a wellness, immunity or nutritional treatment.
WHAT SHOULD PATIENTS DO NOW? Anyone who has received one of the recalled products should contact their healthcare professional for advice, particularly if they develop fever, chills, dizziness, weakness, chest pain, vomiting, shortness of breath, a racing heartbeat or any other concerning symptom. Anyone experiencing severe symptoms, fainting, difficulty breathing, confusion, signs of shock or a rapidly worsening condition should seek emergency medical attention immediately. People who still have an affected vial should stop using it and contact the dispensing pharmacy or prescribing clinic for instructions. The product should not be used simply because it appears clear, has been stored correctly or has not passed its beyond-use date, because contamination cannot necessarily be detected by looking at the vial.
HOW TO CONTACT CENTRIC COMPOUNDING: Centric Compounding LLC has provided a contact number and email address for questions about the recall. The company can be contacted on 833-777-6664 or by email at info@centriccompounding.com. The listed contact hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Central Time. Patients should have the product name, lot number, beyond-use date, date of administration and details of any symptoms available when contacting the company, pharmacy or healthcare provider. Keeping the vial and packaging may also help with identification, but patients should not delay medical treatment while trying to locate paperwork or product information.
WHY THIS WARNING MATTERS: Injectable wellness treatments are often promoted as convenient ways to support energy, immunity, detoxification, recovery or general health, but injection carries risks that are not present in the same way with many oral products. Sterility, ingredient quality, manufacturing controls, storage and handling are all critical. A product intended to support wellness can still cause serious harm if it is contaminated or compounded using an ingredient that does not meet the required standards for injection. This recall is a reminder that “natural,” “wellness” or “vitamin” does not automatically mean risk-free, especially when a substance is injected directly into the body.
THE QUESTIONS PATIENTS NEED TO ASK: People considering injectable wellness treatments should ask exactly what ingredients are being used, where those ingredients were sourced, whether the product was compounded or commercially manufactured, how sterility and endotoxin testing were performed, what lot number they are receiving and what procedure is in place if a safety alert is issued. Patients should also ask whether the treatment is medically necessary, what evidence supports its use and what known risks apply to their individual circumstances. A treatment being offered in a clinic or wellness setting does not remove the need for proper manufacturing standards, informed consent and clear medical oversight.
DO NOT DISMISS SYMPTOMS AS DETOX: Patients who have received an injectable wellness product should not automatically assume that fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, dizziness or a sudden feeling of being seriously unwell is simply a detox reaction or a normal response to treatment. These symptoms may have many possible causes, but when they occur after an injection, they deserve proper medical assessment. Anyone experiencing breathing difficulties, fainting, confusion, severe weakness, very low blood pressure, chest pain or rapidly worsening symptoms should seek emergency medical attention without delay.
A RECALL THAT SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED: The FDA warning about these three products is a serious reminder that problems involving injectable treatments can move quickly from a manufacturing concern to a patient-safety emergency. Anyone who has used Glutathione 200 mg/mL, Myer’s Cocktail or Tri-Immune Boost should check whether their product matches one of the recalled lots and should not continue using it until they have received appropriate advice. The safest response is to take the warning seriously, check the product details, report any suspected reaction and seek urgent medical help if symptoms are severe or worsening. Health decisions should never be based solely on marketing claims, especially when a product is injected and contamination may carry potentially devastating consequences.
